Kaylee + Stuart | Copdock Hall Wedding

Have I got a belter of a wedding for you!

I’d been watching the weather forecast all week in the run-up to Kaylee and Stuart’s Copdock Hall wedding, in early May. Theirs was the first of three weddings over three days for me, and according to all weather reports, it was going to rain on all three days. (Spoiler alert: it did.) So it takes a special kind of couple to really ascend above the anxiety over the great British weather, to just get on with it and have an incredible day with family and friends. And what a day we had…!

Kaylee got ready in the morning with her girls at a hotel around the corner, whilst Stu got ready back at home with some of his family. I think it’s fair to say Kaylee was feeling a tad nervous, and no-one was allowed to tell her how lovely she looked or similar, as she was teetering on the crying brink all morning. When family friend Giles arrived to see her, once she was in her dress, well….. you can see for yourself when you scroll down. Not a dry eye in the house!

The rain held off up to confetti, and then it decided it couldn’t hold off anymore and forced us inside Copdock’s lovely Tudor barn for a period of time, though we did manage a few sneaky snaps outside just before dinner. As the rain stopped and the weather warmed, it created a crazy mist that instantly lifted off the grass next to the venue, it was fairly magical.

Giles kicked off the speeches in emotional fashion, a really lovely speech which spanned several areas including family, professional tenacity, and bizarrely Kaylee’s ability to play the recorder which, I’m sorry to say, was rubbish. The two best men followed Stu’s speech, and they played two different roles, ultimately culminating in some incriminating photos of Stu on a giant projector screen.

We managed a few more cheeky photos outside after the speeches, and luckily before things started to get a little boozy, and a little hazy….!

When Kaylee and Stu booked me the previous summer for their wedding, I didn’t know too much about what to expect from their day. What I did find out after spending time with them during their engagement shoot and subsequently their wedding, is that they are the most fun, adventurous souls and I really didn’t want their wedding to end. Hopefully from the images below, you’ll get a flavour of what an absolute belter it was!
