Kim + Ergys | Thurstons Farm Wedding

Phew, I’m not sure I even know where to start with Kim and Ergys’ absolutely sensational wedding back at the very end of June. They’d chosen Thurstons Farm for their venue, a gorgeous little renovated rustic barn tucked away in Rendham, near Saxmundham, in Suffolk. Kim had worked like a trojan decorating the venue herself, with gorgeous bunting and fairy lights, beautiful green and gold styling among the tables, and tiny pots of honey as wedding favours. Oh – and a doughnut wall! My heart was pretty much beating out of my chest when I clapped eyes on the doughnut wall!!

It was an incredibly hot and sunny day, but no-one was fazed by the heat as the warmth only served to add to the perfectly relaxed and informal vibe the day had. Kim and Ergys started with an outdoor ceremony in the woods, followed by drinks outside the barn and dinner inside (interspersed with occasional Albanian celebrations), an ice cream van providing dessert, and finally dancing under the fairy lights outside – which included Albanian dancing and some break-dancing from the best man. And because the bride was super cool, she’d decided she’d had enough of her dress by the evening, and was going to change into a second, more manageable dress – but instead Kim decided to change into a top, shorts and flip flops to carry on the party. I mean, what more could you want?
