A little about me

Essex wedding photographer

Hi there!

I’m Sally, a lifelong Essex resident who for some crazy reason likes to spend most weekends photographing people getting married! I love all things creative, especially films and music, so when I’m not taking photos of weddings, I am a self-proclaimed 80s movie expert.

I live in Chelmsford, Essex, with my husband and our labrador, and have been shooting weddings for over five years. I like to think this means I’m not a newbie photographer, and I’m still very excited for each and every wedding I do – photographing wedding days is not a conveyor belt experience for me!

I pride myself on my easygoing yet professional nature, and having been a bride myself I understand the ins and outs of wedding planning.

My photographs have been featured in the UK’s top bridal publications and local publications; I’ve photographed across Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, London and the UK, and am always looking to photograph and experience new things!

My approach

What are you getting? For starters, someone who has shot over 100 of my own weddings, each and every one unique and diverse.

My approach to weddings and my style reflects my nature: relaxed, easygoing, honest. My photos are creative and modern, and I capture moments in a discreet, unobtrusive way.

So if you’re into gimmicks, like grooms jumping in the air clicking their heels together, we’re not going to be a good match. I also don’t take lots of stiff, formal group shots – you know the ones – because you’re booking me for my natural style.

I’ll be there for prep, I’ll be there for the ceremony, and you can bet I’ll be there for the party! I don’t disappear as soon as the first dance is over, I’ll be there getting dancefloor photographs when everyone lets their hair down.

Being one of my couples

My typical couples tend to be fun-loving individuals, who are as keen to get amazing photographs from their day as I am. I like couples with a sense of adventure, and more importantly, a sense of humour.
