Sarah + Miguel | Bushy Park engagement

What a little beaut I have for you here. When Sarah and Miguel suggested Bushy Park in Richmond-upon-Thames for their pre-wedding shoot, the opposite side of the M25 to me, I didn’t mind one bit you see, because Sarah and I knew each other in a previous life. Nothing spiritual, I mean she and I used to work with one another. Sarah and Miguel had chosen Bushy Park in London for their pre-wedding shoot because it’s a place that has a little place in their heart, as they described their first actual ‘date’ was a walk around it, and it’s somewhere they like spending time close to their home together. And the park didn’t disappoint; it was glorious in the Autumn sunshine, all browns, greens and golds, interspersed with the park’s famous deer everywhere we turned.

I’m already excited for Sarah and Miguel’s wedding in March 2019, where they’ll be having a civil ceremony before getting their party on over at one of London’s rowing clubs directly on the Thames, which I think will be wicked! I’m also interested to see if they’ll introduce any flourishes from Miguel’s native Spain – we’ll have to wait and see.

It always makes me very happy when I photograph the weddings of friends past and present, and I’m sure I’ll have the customary lump in my throat when these two tie the knot next year. Until then, you can enjoy a selection of images from our brilliant stroll amongst the deer at Bushy Park:
